Gathering Knowledge for Indigenous Food Security and Food Sovereignty

The Centre for Indigenous Environmental Resources (CIER) is working with partners to collect information related to food sovereignty and food security in Indigenous Nations and communities.  We are currently contacting knowledge holders to gather data on this matter through a survey. The purpose will be to:

  • Identify gaps and inequities related to food security, food sovereignty and climate change
  • Gather, review and summarize knowledge on promising food security practices, strategies and projects currently being implemented by Indigenous communities
  • Share Indigenous food security and food sovereignty knowledge, strategies and innovations with other knowledge holders and community partners

We look forward to your valued input. If you would like to learn more about the project or share your experiences with us, please contact either Melissa Gus ([email protected]) or Lynn Mallett ([email protected]).
