Podcasting is an amazing platform that gives people the opportunity to connect, present their ideas and share their stories. This 2-hour beginner workshop will be facilitated by Dan Vadeboncoeur and is geared to help you hone your storytelling skills and provide an introduction to podcasting.
Podcasting Contest!
Now, we’re inviting you to create your own podcast! We have two topics you can choose from:
Topic #1 – Reconciliation
We mentioned that the workshop was supported by the Collaborative Leadership Initiative (CLI). The CLI is a reconciliation initiative between Chiefs from the Southern Chiefs’ Organization, the Mayors and Reeves from the Winnipeg Metropolitan Region and the South Basin Mayors and Reeves. Since 2017, CLI leaders have been working through a process of reconciliation facilitated by the Centre for Indigenous Environmental Resources.
Explore the CLI website for more information and view the inspiring documentary created about the CLI story https://www.collaborativeleaders.ca/
Topic #2 – United Nations Sustainable Development Goals 6, 11, 15, & 16
SDG 6 – Clean water and sanitation
SDG 11 – Sustainable cities and communities
SDG 15 – Life on land
SDG 16 – Peace, justice and strong institutions
The UN SDGs are a call to action to end poverty, protect the planet, and ensure that by 2030 all people enjoy peace and prosperity. Learn more about the UN SDGs on the United Nations Development Programme Website
